Workshop Terms and Conditions

Thank you for registering! The following terms and conditions outline the rights and responsibilities of both The Lion Mind Limited (“TLM”) as the course provider and the participants. Please review this information carefully. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us before agreeing to these terms and conditions.

1) Changes to Terms and Conditions: TLM reserves the right to change or modify any terms and conditions, policies, or guidelines at any time, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website https://thelionmind.org.sg/workshop-terms-and-conditions/ . By continuing to use our services, you confirm your acceptance of such changes.

2) Accuracy of Information: I declare that the information provided in the Registration Form is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I have not willfully suppressed any material fact. I also understand the obligation to inform TLM if I am related to any beneficiaries within my charge.

3) Waiver of Legal Action: I waive all rights to sue or claim against TLM and its staff, absolving them of any harm or loss suffered directly or indirectly by me in relation to my participation in the course.

4) Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold TLM harmless against all claims or losses, including medical expenses, mishaps, accidents, injuries, death, actions, suits, proceedings, costs, and expenses arising directly or indirectly during the course.

5) Non-Monetary Compensation: I acknowledge and accept that TLM is not obligated to provide monetary compensation for any harm or loss suffered directly or indirectly during the course. This includes psychological harm, physical harm such as illness, injury, or death, harm to my reputation, or loss of or damage to personal property used in the course.

6) Complaints and Dispute Resolution: I agree to communicate any complaints or grievances to TLM and make reasonable efforts to resolve any disputes amicably.

7) Use of Images and Information: I consent to the use of images, prints, and information related to TLM’s programs for promotional, publicity, fundraising, or other purposes as deemed fit by TLM. I understand that all rights to proofs, final or sample prints, shall remain the property of TLM. TLM will not be liable for any claims arising from the misuse, misinterpretation, or factual errors related to the information used.

8) Data Usage: I consent to TLM’s use of my personal data provided in the Registration Form for the specified purposes, including sending me TLM announcements and communications related to programs, events, and services.

9) Non-Refundable Payments: I agree and accept that once payment has been made, it will not be refundable.

10) Certification and Assignment Decisions: I understand that attending the workshop does not automatically guarantee the award of the certificate. The award is subject to fulfilling the course requirements. I agree that any decision made by TLM regarding my submitted assignments shall be ethical, final, and conclusive.

11) Attendance and Award Criteria: I am aware that the workshop spans a specific number of days as stated in the Registration Form. I agree that 100% attendance on all days is required to be awarded the Certificate and Letter of Completion, if any. TLM is not responsible for organising any online or physical makeup lessons regardless of the reason for missing any partial or full day of the workshop.

12) Goodwill Services: I agree that any complimentary retests, supervisions, consultations, lessons, or services provided beyond the stated course duration are offered by TLM on a goodwill basis and do not form part of the course.

13) Participant Conduct and Behavior: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner during the workshop. Any behavior that disrupts the learning environment or is deemed disrespectful, offensive, or discriminatory towards others will not be tolerated. TLM reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removing participants who fail to adhere to these expectations.

14) Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Ethical Standards: Participants are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to the workshop content and their profession. This includes maintaining confidentiality, respecting intellectual property rights, and adhering to any relevant codes of conduct or professional guidelines.

15) Usage Rights of Materials and Resources: All materials and resources provided by TLM during the workshop are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Participants may use these materials solely for their personal and educational purposes related to the workshop. Reproduction, distribution, or unauthorised sharing of these materials without TLM’s explicit consent is strictly prohibited.

16) Data Protection and Privacy: TLM respects the privacy of participants and handles their personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Personal information provided by participants will be used solely for the purposes stated in the Privacy Policy. TLM implements appropriate security measures to safeguard this information and will not disclose it to third parties without the participant’s consent, except as required by law.

17) Consequences of Non-Compliance: Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in consequences, including but not limited to termination of participation without refund. TLM reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to non-compliance, including legal remedies if necessary.

18) Clause Headers: The clause headers used in these terms and conditions are provided for convenience and ease of reference only. They do not affect the interpretation or meaning of the clauses contained within. The headings are included to aid in reading and organisation but should not be considered as substantive provisions of the agreement.

19) Severability: If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20) Electronic Agreement: By indicating “I agree” in this electronic form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You understand that your electronic acceptance has the same legal standing as if you had physically signed a written agreement.
