Counselling / Psychotherapy involves a professional relationship between a clinician and his / her client(s). Through this clinical process, the client will be provided with structured guidance and exploration of his / her emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. This clinical process also involves working together with the client for the assessment and for the formulation of the treatment plan. While the clinician is the subject-matter expert in providing guidance, the client is the subject-matter expert of himself/ herself.
Clinical assessments are used to help our clinicians arrive at some hypotheses about our client and their behaviour, capabilities, and personalities. They are important to help our clinicians decide what are the best treatment plans for our clients. The clinicians also help our clients to understand themselves and the reasons for feelings or behaving negatively.
All counselling / psychotherapy sessions and all clinical assessments are done in private and confidential. Our mental health clinicians are members of an accredited body in Singapore, and are certified to provide the highest level of clinical care to our clients.
