Announcement: Centre Closure

Dear Clients and Supporters,

After much reflection, we wish to share that The Lion Mind will be permanently closing, with our last day of operations on 15 June 2025.

We understand this may come as unexpected news, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We are deeply grateful for your trust and support over the years, and it has been our honour to walk alongside you in your mental wellness journey.

Notice to Clients Who Were Previously with The Lion Mind

We understand you may have questions following our closure. Below are some frequently asked questions that may help clarify your concerns.

1) Is The Lion Mind still operating?

No. The Lion Mind Limited officially ceased operations on 15 June 2025. All services, sessions, and administrative functions have concluded as of that date.

2) How can I find my previous therapist to continue my sessions?

If you wish to reconnect with your previous therapist who was formerly with The Lion Mind, please contact us via WhatsApp at 9677 6878. We will do our best to assist you, depending on the availability and consent of the therapist to be contacted.

3) Can I still request for my case notes or records to be transferred?

Yes, but only under the following conditions:

  • You may request a one-time transfer of your case notes to the clinician who had previously supported you while they were at The Lion Mind.
  • We do not transfer records to external clinicians who were not part of our team during your time with us.

To initiate the request:

Requests will only be processed upon WhatsApp confirmation. Submitting the form alone will not trigger processing.

4) Is there a deadline for requesting my records?

Yes. All case records (including digital session notes) will be deleted after 15 August 2025. Any requests must be submitted and verified before this date.

Please note:

  • Physical records will be securely shredded by 30 June 2025, as part of our office move-out.
  • If your former clinician did not scan any physical information, such records will no longer be retrievable.

5) How will I receive my case notes?

If your request is approved, the records will be securely transferred to your former attending clinician using their verified channel.

You will not receive a copy of the records directly. This is to protect client confidentiality and reduce data security risks.

6) Can I request someone else to apply on my behalf?

For clients below the age of 21, the registered next of kin (NOK) may submit a request on their behalf.

For clients aged 21 and above, the request must be submitted by the client themselves.
Other third parties are not authorised to access or request client records under any circumstance.

7) What if I don’t meet the criteria?

We reserve the right to decline requests that do not meet our criteria, such as:

  • Mismatched or inaccurate information in the form,
  • Requests from unrelated third parties,
  • Requests to transfer records to clinicians not previously with The Lion Mind,
  • Concerns around data security or legality.

Each request will be assessed individually.

8) I saw another organisation using the name “The Lion Mind.” Is that related to you?

No. As The Lion Mind Limited has officially ceased operations, any other entity or group using the name “The Lion Mind” is not affiliated with us.

We are not responsible for their services, actions, or data practices. If a former clinician continues to use the name in a new capacity, they are operating independently, and all responsibilities lie with them.

9) What happened to your website and social media?

From 15 June 2025, our website only displays closure-related announcements and information. Our social media accounts have also ceased activity and are no longer monitored.

10. Can I still contact someone?

Our enquiries line (WhatsApp at 9677 6878) will remain open until 15 August 2025 to support eligible case transfer requests.

As The Lion Mind has ceased operations, this line is now supported by volunteers. We kindly ask for your patience, as responses may be delayed.

Please note that we reserve the right to respond only to valid and relevant enquiries. Messages that fall outside the scope of our post-closure arrangements may not receive a response.

After 15 August 2025, this number will return to personal use and will no longer be affiliated with The Lion Mind.

With Deep Appreciation

As we prepare to close this chapter, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all our clients, team members, volunteers, partners, and supporters who have journeyed with us over the years. Your presence, trust, and contributions have made The Lion Mind what it is today. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful endeavour.

With warm regards,
The Lion Mind Team
