February has been an exciting month.

Our Professional Certificate in Solution-focused Brief Therapy is shaping up nicely. I have started an in-house dry run with my team members before finalising the workshop content. This workshop is designed for existing coaches, counsellors, and psychotherapists who wants an alternative set of psychotherapeutic tools to help their clients. For more information, visit here.

Both Weiren and I visited Happiness Initiatives at their office for a collaboration project on 11 February (Thursday). Vivien, our in-house Associate Psychologist, presented a topic on “Combating Stress & Burnout” for Fujitsu Singapore on 16 February (Wednesday). I have facilitated the “Basic Counselling Skills” online workshop on 19 February (Saturday) morning, and a webinar entitled “Introduction to BASC-3” on 20 February (Sunday). On 26 February (Saturday), my team attended APACS Annual General Meeting, where we stepped down from our respective roles for a new team to have the opportunity to serve.

A Gratitude Post

It has been a privilege for me and my pleasure to serve APACS as an Executive Committee member from February 2020 to February 2022. I am grateful for the opportunities to serve the mental health industry.

One of the purposes of setting this NPO was to allow me to support APACS better and to improve it further. Through The Lion Mind, we have built up a team of capable volunteers looking to build their clinical skills and portfolio to serve APACS. We also connected people and organisations while spreading the importance of joining an association to represent degree (bachelor’s) graduates from psychology and / or counselling programmes.

While it has been a ride for my team and me for the past two years, it is time for The Lion Mind to move into the next phase. Most of our team members have “graduated” from our in-house nurturing programme. Our organisation is transitioning into something exciting. Do keep a lookout in July 2022!

Lastly, I want to use this platform to thank my co-founder Weiren for the support that he has provided. I also wanted to thank the OG team members of TLM (Dhivya, Wei Jie, Vivien) who have journeyed alongside me.
