It’s October! This is where we celebrate various mental health awareness days!

October is more than just Deepavali or Halloween celebration, it is a celebration of living healthy with a positive mindset. Instead of waiting till a festive to have fun, it is important for us to celebrate life every single day!

While we are moving into the final quarter of 2021, our workshops for 2021 have been fully subscribed! We will be opening up more workshops for 2022. In addition, there are plans to launch smaller and bite-sized workshops as well. Basic Counselling Skills is essential skills not just for counselling but also for listening to our friends and family. With that in mind, we are making the necessary arrangements for this workshop to be an online one. We are also making arrangements to have a more variety of psychotherapeutic Approaches workshops. The workshop for Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) will be launched in 2022, so do keep a lookout for that!

In September, we have concluded our 8th run of the Graduate Certificate in Psychotherapeutic Approaches (CBT Specialization)! Participants were happy to be able to transfer their skills and knowledge into real-world applications. On 25th September, our Community Outreach Executive, Shenice, has presented a topic on “Coping with Anxiety”. Anxiety is one of the common colds of mental health and thus it is important to educate the public.

As October also celebrates the OCD Awareness Day / Week, our in-house Associate Psychologist, Vivien, will be presenting a webinar on “Coping with OCD”. This is another important topic as the current COVID-19 enables OCD-related behaviours in many of us and worsening the conditions of many OCD sufferers.

With the winter season around the corner, let’s work towards an endemic Christmas!
