February was exciting and eventful for The Lion Mind team. We had the opportunity to participate in three different outreach efforts.

Our in-house Associate Psychologist, Ms Vivien Lai, represented The Lion Mind in a dialogue session with MP Mr Patrick Tay on 11 Feb 2023 (Saturday). Vivien discussed topics on youth mental health and well-being. The session focused on the importance of good mental health for youth to develop into confident and independent adults. It was an excellent opportunity for us to raise awareness and contribute to the mental health discussion in Singapore.

Our Operations Executive, Ms Samantha Tee, presented an in-house seminar on “Coping with OCD” on 18 Feb 2023 (Saturday). OCD is a common mental health condition in Singapore. We need to provide support and guidance on managing this disorder.

Lastly, on 20 Feb 2023 (Monday), Weiren, Siti and I went to OUE Commercial REIT to conduct a corporate outreach on “Combating Stress & Burnout, A Definitive Guide”. We shared insights on achieving work-life harmony without sacrificing mental and emotional well-being.

In addition to our outreach efforts, we are excited to host an in-house workshop on Basic Counselling Skills this month. Find out more below.

All work, no play makes Jack a dull boy. My team will be going away for an overseas retreat in March. I am looking forward to having my quarterly break from work.

Starting in May, The Lion Mind team will be heading in a new direction. Therefore, our monthly newsletter will be discontinued. However, we will keep you updated on our progress every quarter. Stay tuned for our upcoming newsletter!
