A brand new year, a brand new hope. We all wanted to believe that 2021 would be the year where we would reach the COVID-19 endemic. Unfortunately, the pandemic still exists today. There is a need for us to recalibrate our expectations, especially for this year.

In December, I had the honour of presenting a webinar on “Combating Insomnia” to Stroke Support Singapore (S3) on 10 December 2021. I have given a public webinar on “Demystifying Counselling & Psychotherapy” on 11 December 2021. In addition, I have completed the facilitation of the certification Workshop – Graduate Certificate in Psychotherapeutic Approaches (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Specialization).

Both Weiren and I have presented on The Lion Mind Director’s Report 2021 on 4 December 2021 (Saturday). You may obtain a copy of the report here.

The Lion Mind has prepared several exciting events for 2022. As part of our community initiative, we provide free workshops on Basic Counselling Skills. This workshop would sufficiently equip workshop participants with the essential skills to facilitate conversation. This workshop would also allow participants with no counselling background to take up our new Professional Certificate in Solution-focused Brief Therapy.

In addition, as an APACS and ACA accredited Clinical Supervisor, I am opening up my therapy slots for students. This service would benefit students studying in counselling / psychotherapy programmes seeking clinical supervision or personal therapy. Please drop us an enquiry for more details.

Wishing everyone a fruitful year ahead!
