Ms Rachel Lim

Rachel is the Counsellor with The Lion Mind, specializing in working with the population of young adult, and women. She has various experiences providing counselling and psychotherapy to youths, young adult, women, and crisis intervention. She also co-facilitates the workshop on psychotherapeutic approaches (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and helps to guide participants through their discussions. Through the APACS-HSEU-NTUC retainer clinic programme, Rachel also provides counselling to the staff of Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital.
Rachel is currently volunteering with the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH), providing counselling to high-risk clients. She also serve in the APACS Accreditation & Education Sub-committee, maintaining the standards of APACS Practitioners, and in influencing the standards of mental health education in Singapore by working closely with various educational institutions. Prior to joining The Lion Mind, Rachel has many years of volunteering experiences with the Changi Sailing Club in providing mentorship to lower secondary school student through its Sailing & Sustainability programme. She guides these students on the importance of values and life skills, and helps them grow into mature and responsible adults.
She has a Master of Counselling from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia), and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, US. She has also completed an accredited course (ACA, APACS) on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
Rachel is a registered Level 1 Practitioner (membership no. A0249) with the Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore (APACS).
