The Lion Mind
Rachel is the Counsellor with The Lion Mind, specializing in working with couples, young adults, and women. She has various experiences providing counselling and psychotherapy to youths, young adults, women, and crisis intervention. She also co-facilitates the workshop on psychotherapeutic approaches (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and helps to guide participants through their discussions. Rachel also facilitates corporate talks for organisations such as ‘Combating Stress & Burnout’.
Clinical Skills & Knowledge
She has a Master of Counselling from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia), and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, US. She has also completed an accredited course (ACA, APACS) on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
Rachel is a registered Level 3 Practitioner (membership no. A0249) with the Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore (APACS).
Rachel has vast experience in volunteerism. She volunteered with the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH), providing counselling to high-risk clients. Rachel has also volunteered with the Changi Sailing Club to provide mentorship for lower secondary school students through its Sailing & Sustainability programme. She guides these students on the importance of values and life skills, and helps them grow into mature and responsible adults.
Through the APACS-HSEU-NTUC retainer clinic programme, Rachel provides counselling to staff of (National University Health System) NUHS.
