It’s a brand new year!
Before December 2019 has come to a close, The Lion Mind team has made one final sprint!
My fellow co-founder Mr Yap Weiren was featured on VF+c (Venture Fashion + Consulting) in an article entitled “Maintaining Mental Wellbeing with Yap Weiren” for the first edition of UNDERCOVER on 9 December 2019. In the article, Weiren has highlighted that “we often sacrifice our mental wellbeing over other needs. It is never enough to emphasize the importance of mental wellbeing“. When is the last time you have taken a break just for yourself?
We have successfully concluded our third run of the Graduate Certificate in Psychotherapeutic Approaches (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Specialization) workshop on 21 December 2019. We have invited several senior mental health specialists in a mini networking session to for these aspirating CBT Psychotherapists. The session was well received by the participants as they have gained insights about the mental health industry.
In collaboration with NUS Psychology Society, we have ran three small but important qualitative studies to find out the current status of the mental health assessments (aka screeners). These studies are crucial as it would help us to further improve the quality of our counselling services.
Good news! We have been supported by the Health Promotion Board in our efforts to provide community outreach into the heartlands of Singapore. Keep a lookout for us in 2020!
In collaboration with Happiness Initiative, my team will be presenting on two sessions during the Happiness Conference. See below for more information!
Wishing everyone a Happy 2020!
